Our aim is to stock wonderful and
unique products at affordable prices and to be a store that people enjoy
visiting. It is important to us that our customers feel comfortable to
browse with children in tow, experience friendly service and feel valued.
We hope that the launch of our online store will be of assistance to
interstate and international Moo and Bear customers (and our Brisbane
customers who prefer to shop online!) Kendall (aka “Aunty Kendall”) is one
adoring Aunty. Kendall works in the store 4 days per week and has a
background in childcare and retail. Aunty Kendall is expecting her first Baby in early September
2007. She will now be
taking over the newsletter.As her Sister Shannon has her own Psychology
practise. Well…. Maybe just one photo of Ossie
the cat...….
We love looking for the cutest
baby and children's products! This simple philosophy has been the
inspiration for our new family business "MOO and BEAR - Gorgeous things
for Bubs and Kids". The idea for the business developed when boy/girl
twins Connor and Madison were born into our family (Born 12 December
2002). It was so exciting to be able to search for beautiful baby products
but the range seemed to be very limited to the major stores and only a
small handful of shops for children and babies. We were really searching
for unique and special baby clothing, toys and nursery products but not at
designer range prices. After discussing the idea for a few months, we
decided to go ahead and take the plunge! The inspiration for the name "Moo
and Bear" came from the nicknames of the twins "MaddieMoo and
ConnorBear"
Phil and Judy Timms
are proud nanny and grandad to ConnorBear and MaddieMoo. Phil handles the
budget side of things while Judy loves the creative side such as store
setup, stock purchasing and customer relations. They are both very excited
to becoming Grandparents for the third time.
Shannon and Steve
Yeardley (mum and dad to the twins) help with the website and
online component of the store . Steve is also a very busy daddy and
Engineer. Shannon is being a mummy and
Psychologist.
Connorbear (aka Connor James
Yeardley) is one half of the inspiration of Moo and Bear (well – the
“Bear” component anyway!) Connor loves exploring new places, anything to
do with trucks and is very interested in anything Fireman. Connor loves
music and doing magic tricks with his Grandad.
Now although it
is very tempting to add in descriptions all of our pets we will try hard
to refrain from doing so... :-)
